About our Pantry

Our pantry is located in Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church at 520 Pawling Ave, Troy where we serve families a monthly 3 day/3 meals per day package for everyone in the family of basic staples, meat, fresh produce, breads and bakery items, and milk. Families can return weekly for bread & produce. Also available are non-food items such as diapers, toiletries, personal hygiene items, household cleaning supplies, and pet food.

Volunteers

The lifeline of our pantry is the hard work and dedication of our volunteers who work the pantry daily, stock shelves, pack bags, welcome our clients, unload trucks, run to the RFB to pick up fresh produce or to Hannaford to receive their generous donations. They do it all with a smile and make everyone who comes through our doors leave feeling they were treated with respect. If you're interested in joining our crew, call or email Sherri.

Funding

Our major source of funding is provided by our HPNAP grant via our Regional Food Bank account. Additional help is also provided by The Food Pantries for the Capital District, SEFCU, Wynantskill Hannaford, The Review Foundation, and Emergency Food & Shelter Grant funding. Donations come from generous donors interested in make sure none of their neighbors go hungry and by way of numerous food drives and fundraisers held for our benefit by local businesses, office groups, schools, churches, and civic groups.

Donations of non perishable food and personal care items are ALWAYS welcome and needed. If the food pantry is closed, feel free to drop off at the community center at 596 Pawling Ave, Troy between 9:30am - 6pm Mon-Fri. For large donations, please call to make arrangements.
